As someone living in a regional area where radio alternatives to the ABC are total rubbish with constant screaming advertising, I absolutely do not want to see the ABC closed down.
Their Local Radio network also provides necessary public info at times of floods, fires and any other emergency.

Also some excellent programs on Radio National untainted by politics, and wonderful music with intelligent presenters on Classic FM.

And that's before we get to some of the first class investigative work that such as Four Corners does.

Imo a change of managing director to someone with a more objective approach is all that's needed, plus the sacking of some of their absolutely recalcitrant Left presenters.
