It is a difficult question you are asking there Mike. The main problem I see is no one is really going to give too much in the way of specific advice due to the nature of this forum, Terms of Use and so forth.
I see that you are looking for suggestions to whom you may visit for professional advice. I personally don't know of any, and to be honest, I'm a little sceptical of Financial advisers.
Can I make a suggestion, take a look at the variety of Exchange traded Funds available. These are great as they give you a broad exposure to a variety of different sectors. Here is a link to Betashares, they have a heap of Funds on offer.
