The proposed Bougainville Mining Transitional Bill will be withdrawn for the second time, in the House of Representative Special Session next week.

Mining Minister Michael Oni speaking from Buka today explained the proposed mining bill was tabled in the last session, as an information paper, for the ABG members; to carry out consultations with the people.

He pointed out some issues needs to be looked at before it comes to the house for enactment into bill.

Mr Oni said after deliberations between the Government and Resource owners, it was agreed another meeting will be held between the technical team to iron out differences before the bill can be tabled in the next ABG session.
