    In a September 3, 2015 front page story in the San Miguel Basin Forum, Mr. Glasier said he expects production to begin at the Sunday Mine Complex in mid 2016, less than a year from now. He didn't mention permitting issues. Perhaps the largest issue is the need for a revised or new federal Environmental Assessment prepared by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and incorporating additional baseline data regarding ground water and surface sediments. Next would be review and approval by Colorado mining regulators of the proposed use of ablation. No such application from WUC has been submitted. In addition, a possible radioactive material license might be required by the Colorado health and environment department, as mentioned in a previous post. This discussion/debate/battle has yet to begin. Other minor approvals may be required by local officials. Some mine development and construction work would be necessary, work that can be challenging at times during Colorado winters.

    Production by mid 2016 would be quite an accomplishment...
