It also gives another possible reason why gold producers are down here today- redemptions.
HUI was up overseas but our golds are down today.
Perhaps ours are more influenced by retail redemptions from managed funds.
These may have received above average redemption requests on Friday following the Fed words the night before and they are selling today to meet those requests.
Often there are various possible reasons for what might seem odd.
Luckily fund redemptions don't affect stocks like ABU which is not likely held in any managed fund.
