It's a funny world. I worked in Moree for the emergency services as a first responder for almost 4 years; a NSW town renowned for aboriginal violence and theft - true enough to some degree. And yet, the local white population there were the most aggressive/dangerous humans I have ever come across. I never once personally experienced that from the aboriginals there, but on the job, it was commonplace for some white cretin to threaten violence against us while we were in the process of doing rescue work - go figure. In fact, I felt safer walking the streets of Afghanistan and the NWF in the first few months of the war - notwithstanding a few scary incidents with the Taliban and hill bandits.
