It would be good to think the best person for the job would get it. I believe the USA voters took this view today. The chances of an indigenous Australian becoming PM is very unlikely mainly due to the lack of suitable applicants. Only about 3% of the population is indigenous. There's more chance of a female becoming PM before any minority group.
