The way it works is that someone with full, half, quarter, 1/8,1/16,1/32,1/64,1/128,1/256,1/512, 1/1024, 1/2048.... parts is aboriginal
Your post supposes that "other racial makeup" will decline. It isn't binary.
Most aboriginals (think Lydia Thorpe) are already more Irish,Scottish, English and German than they are aboriginal, yet they identify as aboriginal not Scottish.
The flaw in the thinking is that the tiniest part aboriginal makes you and aboriginal. In other countries, eg USA one has to be at least 1/8 to be eligible for native benefits.
