I know what you mean, I'm not a fan of the preferential voting system, as your vote can end up being given to someone you detest, no matter who you originally vote for.
I think it's a fiasco that totally supports a 2 party system which is hardly democratic.
If there were a viable 3rd party to vote for the 2 major parties wouldn't know what hit them but then you could be certain they would unite to get rid of that party no-matter what
