Be very careful,my reading of the news articles indicate that labour has never said that this reform and the outcome of election are correleated. (ie they are aiming to get the legislation in before the election.)

The possibility of this passing is actually quite high because:
1. the purpose is to help cover a tax deficit.
2. it does clean up a "discrepancy" in the tax system
3. the Australian car industry is doomed regardless whether this legislation gets passed or not

Then even $7.00 will look expensive for this stock. Just go and read the financial statements and see how closely tied the future of this company is to cars.
