What about water vapour? We don't even know how much water vapour is in the atmosphere, except that it is estimated to be somewhere between 3 and 8 times that of CO2 in terms of its GW effect. Let alone any attempts to measure how it is varying.
Concentrating on CO2 is futile, until you know the effect of water vapour.
