I am a long term investor in IIN for the reasons you gave; I understand that the other telcos are financially supporting IIN via legal costs, since they have a clear interest in IIN succeeding.
If the case is lost then the consequences will also apply to all telcos not just IIN.
My only concern is the damage to the IIN share price, but I'm still holding.
On another matter, my email is with Telstra bigpond and would like to switch to IIN but don't want to lose my bigpond email address! is there any way around that?
