I have said this before...Russia doesn't need more territory...already the biggest country in the world but with population falling. It doesn't need land, it needs people. This is why it is welcoming back ethnic Russians from former Republics of USSR and it will welcome back ethnic Russians from Ukraine/Crimea.
USA meanwhile, is a resource-hungry black hole...it will lie, cheat and create instability in order to get more oil, gas and minerals. (And sell weapons as a nice little sideline.)
