Just imagine if WPL bought FAR around the price it gave Conoco Philips but before PE resolved and kept the litigation running with FAR as a separate company so that if Conoco lost then WPL could not only take out damages from Conoco but also pick up the entitlement through its new subsidiary.
This is what keeps the FAR thread alive - endless speculation and second guessing on what Cath Norman will do or not do while everyone waits for the goodies.
If nothing else is happening and I have nothing else to do, I always come to the FAR thread.
I stayed with FAR through the Samos wildcat on the basis that SNE was the real backstop to value in the company. After all, about 1 in 10 wildat wells bear fruit. The Gambia off-shore is not dead yet anyway.
I topped up the other day at 6c and happy to take some more when a SPP or rights issue made..
