If we set a minimum requirement of coverage by three leading stockbrokers, the list of companies with a maximum score on the FN Arena Sentiment Indicator consists of exactly ten stocks.
With the exception of BHP Billiton (BHP) all these stocks enjoy the highest rating possible from all experts that cover them. BHP is only rated Accumulate, one notch lower than Buy, at Aspect Huntley. However, accompanied by nine Buy recommendations the minor aberration disappears in the calculation of the indicator. Let's consider BHP Billiton the least perfect member of our list.
The other nine members are: Bab & Brown Wind Partners (BBW), Bab & Brown (BNB), Cardno (CDD), Emeco Holdings (EHL), Gloucester Coal (GCL), ING Real Estate Community Living Fund (ILF), MFS Ltd (MFS) and Perseverance Corp (PSV).
Gold miner Perseverance has the highest projected investment return over the coming twelve months -calculated as average price target minus Monday's closing share price- at 44.1%. BHP Billiton is a clear second with a projected return (ex dividends) of 26.3%.
