When I was a young apprentice Motor Mechanic, and the old Holdens only had a temperature warning light. This customer came in with his FJ Holden. The engine was so hot that it was making "Ping. Ting " sounds as the car sat there on the workshop floor.

He (the customer) proudly showed me how he could reach under the dash and disconnect the Temperature Warning Light.

This is a thought process that is worthy of Dr. Schrödinger's attention.

Ie. If the light is not on, the engine is not overheating.

To me, this appears to be a logical, if strange contention.

It takes the warning lamp in isolation, as if it alone controlled the heating.

What had happened to the heat energy, which caused the light to come on, in the first place.

Is there a parallel universe in which imbeciles live.

    Regards....Marum.
