The right to bear arms was voted in when the latest technology was probably a gun that took 30 seconds to load it with black powder and ball shot ramed down through the muzzle .
Bushmaster rifles with say a 20 round magazine that can be fire at 20 rounds in 20 seconds or less means a single death scenario from a muzzle loader becomes a masacre with an automatic rifle.
THere would need to be a serious deterrent for criminals from having these weapons if outlawed ie long incarceration for holders, otherwise the lunatics will be running the asylum.
