I have 4 feral grandkids - I suppose you wonder what kind of grandfather or indeed human being I am but I would pick my dogs over them any day and to be fair, my wife agrees with me!!
Sorry for your loss. Get 2 pups ASAP!!! (we always have at least 2 dogs - they need the company when you are not there)
