I've been tracking ABU for a little while now, seeing it follow the $US gold price down. I think we could argue about the direction of commodities all day long and wouldn't be none the wiser. Analysts are constantly get it wrong, so what chance do I have in predicting the price of gold, or the direction it will track. I do know that in Aussie dollar terms, the POG has basically tracked sideways, with the falling AUD helping to keep the value in our gold miners.
So, ignoring what you think the POG is doing, what are the fundamentals of this company?
According to Stock Doctor, ABU will earn 0.2 cents per share this year and then 0.8 cents per share in 2015. It's PEG is a very low 0.1 and it will have a PE of only 2.88.
Can any of the long-term holders give me an approximate production cost or provide me a link to the appropriate documents, or any other sources that can provide me with figures to conduct a fundamental analyst of this company?
From my very limited TA point of view, both the POG in US$ and ABU look to have formed a bottom, and if there are any expert chartists out there, I'd be interested in their opinions.
Initial investigations suggest that ABU is the type of company that make long-term investors very rich, but is there something I don't know about ABU??? (I understand there is a delay to the ML, but that is irrelevant given that they have their trial mining operation up an running. It will come in good time.)
