imo it wouldn't re-rate gold immediately but only if governments reinstated the gold-standard and not the 10x effect of capital lending banksters have been up to for the past few decades. Reinforcing the gold standard would bring the cash on hand world wide to its true value. All those dodgy countries re-inking their printing presses better watch out - deflowering and devaluation is the name of the game in any inflationary recession. What would the US$ be worth if this was to happen? 1 dime? Scary stuff - now back to unreality.
