.....and those caught abusing prisoners are taken to a court, tried and if found guilty punished...Geneva Convention. If a nation decides to take another direction then the consequences can be severe. Germany is the only major nation in recent history that took this path and suffered the consequences. It is evident that there are people in the USA who wish to go down this path for their own enrichment. It is up to the American population to decide which side they wish to be on. The old phrase ' two wrongs do not make a right' should be remembered. The following generations will have to bear the burden of the failures and the successes of this one. I'm concerned that the word 'contractors' keeps appearing when describing military actions in Iraq; this can lead to profit, rather moral motives in actions. Private contractors will have to consider themselves military targets wherever they exist and their families. No American can consider themselves safe as war goes private.
