Any ideas on the value of the Mt. Gordon Copper mine? Certain research prices it as high as US$250 million, and other research as low as NEGATIVE $69 million!
But consider:
(a) If the former is valid, this means Aditya Birla shareholders should be all smiles.
(b) If the latter is valid, Aditya Birla only has to give it away, and the shareholders will STILL be all smiles.
No debt, cashed up, savvy Board, huge Indian parent, two mines - one large, but mothballed (with ongoing maintenance obligations), the other slightly profitable - but BOTH an option on the copper price - with many disappointed traders having sold out of the stock.
So....what gives? Looking at the share price history when copper prices were only slightly higher, why is it wrong to be long-term 'long' on ABY?
