It has to be a collapse. The mining method was stope and pillar, using paste fill (cemented fill) to extract pillars. If this has failed and the impact has passed through to surface, it will be impacting the pit and possibly even some access.
Will need to wait for details but given their attitude and copper price, it could be terminal
