I agree with the previous two posters - NEU got a GREAT deal because they:
a) backed in the odds that the phase 3 trial would be successful
b) retained ROW rights
The only people who could possibly disagree would be those investors who jumped in prior to the deal being announced believing NEU would go for the higher sign-on fee rather than a back-ended arrangement.
