ACAD's market cap is largely irrelevant in that equation, as it is the value of its shares, not money in the bank. Perhaps the higher market cap might have made it easier to raise funds or to purchase via a share issue, but the relevant figure is the price of Neuren. If you go back far enough, some of the posters on here could probably have bought Neuren outright for what their shareholdings are currently worth!!
