Indeed. Discontinuance is a decision made by caregivers, and the problems which lead to that are so much less in infants; to be blunt, cleaning up after a bout of diarrhea in a baby is a lot less trouble than after one in a 35 year old woman. As genetic testing progresses, the ability to diagnose Retts at an early stage will be improved, and instead of seeing minor progress in adults, there will undoubtedly be major progress in infants where Daybue could have a much more significant benefit. It would be interesting to see some figures relating to younger children, but I suppose the population is too small at the moment.
