I agree that a merger "whilst on paper it reduces competition" ... but , seriously, the actual competition provided by 1. Vodafone and 2. TPG is like a flea on an elephants back. Irritating but of no real impact. But a merged Vodafone+TPG would be able to provide very annoying competition ... maybe even force TLS to lift its game a bit.
