    The problem with discussing the circumnavigation of Earth on a forum like HotCopper... when you are really just interested in the technical and logistical challenges such a journey presents... is that there will be people who start arguing about your journey being pointless as the Earth in reality is flat.

    If all you are interested in is discussing the journey, then if that means you have to create your own "echo chamber", then so be it.

    There are other threads where people can discuss whether or not man made climate change is real or the EV transition is happening.

    Such discussion simply does not belong in this thread. I can not stop it from popping up, but having spend years on HotCopper you get to know certain posters who just really do not add much to the discussion. I am sure to add more to my list, as they try to push their rigid views and try to disrupt any meaningful discussion.
