I think the pressure will only increase and it would be hard to argue to your own citizens to give Australian imports a free pass when it comes to emissions.
Unfortunately, the current course appears to be to try and see how far Australia can push the envelope rather than take sensible action to decarbonise without first ruining our country's good reputation as a responsible global citizen.
