That's correct. The reason SA power is so expensive at that cherry picked moment is because of the price of gas. Opportunistic grubby fossil fuel companies gouging those that can least afford it.
Another fantastic reason to get rid of the dirty stuff.
E.g. Look at the chart below. When there is plenty of renewable generation in the system, the power price is very low.
