Of course you will reply "what about batteries". Before you do you had better research how many batteries would be needed, how much they cost and the pollution caused by obtaining the components is generating now and will generate in the future.

Explain also the cost of shutting down power that could supply 24 hours a day so that the subsidised solar and wind have any market.

A cost analysis would also be appreciated.
