Mud, what gets me is the PP uses these weather events as proof of his stance?
Insured damages of $150Bn last year for example, is he suggesting that if we didn’t use ff’s they wouldn’t have happened?
He seems to struggle with the idea that weather events are part of the cycle of life that have happened since the world began and the last 50 years haven’t seen an increase in catastrophic events.
If these events have increased, scientists have the numbers to back up these assumptions then surely people like him could offer up a percentage of their $150Bn in damages that are directly related to MMCC.
Is it possible that none of these top 10 or 20 catastrophic events would of happened if we had achieved net zero? Highly improbable wouldn’t a normal person think?
