You see thats where we differ, if we take the casual approach to this like the Lnp did then we will go nowhere due to the fact that big oil and gas own them.
To achieve the 43% reduction in co2 in the next 7 years is a herculian challenge, so there's urgency there to do something.
Denying warming even exists or it's just all part of mother nature is totally mindless. Responsible Govts are only responding to the science, there's no conspiracy crap there which gets claimed by the serial numbskulls. There's no secret strategy by some nasty renewable mob trying to manipulate people. It's all to do with the science, and their modeling and predictions are spot on. The global weather will become more extreme = Fact, Ocean levels will rise = Fact, Glaciers and ice shelves will begin to melt = Fact. These things are happening now. Yes there's urgency to react after 10 years of thumb twiddling, which was a huge reason change came. Will Oz meet it's target of 43%? Unlikely, but any progress is better than no progress.
