They wont give you a number because it is embarrassing.
Lets use Model X - 100kWh for the exercise
Solar panel 10 Kw.......FYI - Rarely hits 10Kw for ANY period of time during the day.
From a Solar panel installation site
A 10kW solar system will produce approximately 40 kWh in a single day during summer. During winter, solar panels generate 52% of their total energy in South Australia since weather can block the sunlight your panels receive. That means your 10kW solar system will produce 20-21 kWh and you must keep that in mind when determining your energy requirements.
Say 2 and a half days to charge - as long as you send everything to the car........nothing for the house & no export.
Stay home during the day & every third (night) you can go to work from 7pm till 5am..as you have to be home for 3 days to fully charge as Telstra range in circa 500km...so cant do 2 trips sunny coast to Brissy with out a recharge.
Hope the employers are accommodating with your new hours.
Or - put up a massive arrange 40 Kw ----do you have the roof space or more importantly good luck with getting permission to put that on line........what happens to the apartment dwellers that want s solar array to charge their cars?
- build a second set up say 5 panels at 400W = 2kw array.
How much electricity will a 2kW solar system generate? A 2kW solar system will generate approximately 8kWh per day
100kWh/ 8kWh per day = 12.5 days to charge.
You cannot have a couple of panels as the greenies like to indicate.
