Making energy more expensive is one of the worst things one can do to the economy, causes all sorts of problems and if the government is spending heaps of money to make energy more expensive in the name of net zero it pushes inflation even more, if they're going to do it at all it should be slowly and they should de-regulate the gas industry and power to make things cheaper during the so called transition, Australia doesn't have any impact on the global atmosphere anyway!

The whole thing is ridiculous imo and will cause more harm than good.
