That tech already exists and is being used in trials for things like buses etc.

lt has been trialed for cars in France l believe.

However l don't think it will practical for most users because of the cost of installation and maintenance.

Battery technology has improved so much in the last few years that l reckon its winning the race . Better batteries and really fast charging means you won't need all that other stuff.

1000km ranges aren't too far away given that 500w/kg batteries are entering the market . lt doesn't mean that every car will have a 1000km battery though. lt means they will have a battery that is half or one third of todays batteries. That will make batteries much cheaper and lighter. The cars will probably end up lighter than their ice equivalents.
