The shape-shifting today in the light of the existential alarm being totally unfounded is emblematic of everything that is wrong with the climate debate.
Instead of the scientific community publicly auditing the assumptions that were proven to be flawed, so as to improve the predictive capability of the models (which is what classical science has historically done), today the errors gets brushed under the carpet and any attention directed at them gets met with all manner of deflection and obfuscation.
