Spent a day last week at Fitzroy Island and did the glass bottom boat reef tour.
The Marine Biologist showed us the bleaching that was occurring but didn't seem too fussed about it.
He said the bleaching events of the past 2015-2021 were just as bad but the reef always recovered and came back stronger.
In fact the coral spawning season just passed was the best ever he said.
