No one wants them’: Hertz CEO resigns following failed EV push

There’s “absolutely no demand” for electric vehicles from people renting cars.

“No one wants them – they’re so cheap because there’s absolutely no demand from people renting cars,” Ms Panahi said.

“Why would you want to be dependent on some machine that you need to attach to a wall for 12 hours or three hours if you’ve got a fast charger?”

This comes as Hertz replaces its CEO after the car rental company reverses its bet on electric vehicle rentals over increasing costs.
