The sad fact is that most of those panels earmarked for disposal are still viable and could still produce plenty of power into the future. I have 4 "BP Solar" panels that are 40 years old and still producing although I wouldn't expect the same from MIC panels. I also have a 5kW and a 3kW system about 14 years old that have been removed from rooftops because the owners upgraded that are still viable and are producing power for me with the only cost being installation.
