It's almost two years since Australia's energy system was thrown into chaos by a perfect storm of problems.
Sky-high gas and coal prices, a global economy roaring back from COVID, a spate of outages at aging coal-fired power stations, and an unusually cold start to an Australian winter.
All of these things are in the rear-view mirror.
And yet power bills in Australia are still high, certainly much higher than before all of those things happened.

Why is this?
