You don’t know how much electricity I use or how much extra I would need in reserve to keep an EV powered.
By the way we’re a 2 car 2 house family.
As for the “few decade’s” to transition, some countries have been transitioning at a far greater rate than good old Australia and are far more advanced than us.
Yet they still can’t breakaway from the FF teat and All of them are suffering from the fact that their transition is increasing their energy prices.
The transition, if it was as you suggest, would mean that nobody would be building new coal fired plants or nuclear reactors but the reality is that the numbers of these New Build's are increasing.
Remember, these energy generators have a good half century working life.
