Geologist Ian Plimer says we “don’t have to rebuild grids” if gas is continued to be used for Australia’s energy mix.
Mr Plimer told Sky News host Rita Panahi that “huge areas of farmland” don’t need to be destroyed, unlike renewable energy.
“With these solar power plants, with wind turbines.
“And have powerlines going across perfectly good farmland.
“We’ve already got the infrastructure.”
