Yep, the idea that any form of energy generation is “clean” is a myth.
The reality is that we have gotten to where we are today (well the first world countries) riding on the back of relatively cheap and energy dense fossil fuels.
We should all understand that this cannot last forever owing to the finite nature of these resources and that is why I am happy to see attempts being made in the search for alternative energy sources.
However I don’t see how the world will benefit from the alternative forms of alternative energy production that are available today.
As the current alternatives available today are to expensive, intermittent, less energy dense, require way more finite materials to build than we can produce and are eroding the energy security of all the countries that identify as being first world.
This “idea” that we cannot afford to wait for practical solutions is pure humbug.
“Going off half cocked” is the slang for what we are seeing today or perhaps “running around like a headless chicken” would be more appropriate?
The msm certainly are culpable in pushing the fairytale narrative that renewables technology of today can realistically supply Energy Security.
They also guilty of promoting the fantasy of an imminent climate catastrophe based on worst case scenarios based on GIGO models that have been sold as facts.
Trust in the MSM is the equivalent of believing that fairies live at the bottom of the garden, only the very young children and mentally challenged people will still believe in it.
