If anyone wants to get the real renewable dream, then get rid of the problem. It's the govt. Give companies a tax break to reduce their Co2 output and let the industry work it out. Govt over-tax then redistributes our money to pet projects that screw up. That happens on both sides of politics. Doesn't matter if it's the NBN or Snowy2. Govts are not skilled in the real world and their decisions are based on political outcomes. They are the problem. Look at what they do with immigration, housing, cost of living, debt etc. They are in the way of progress and companies/people have grown addicted to their hand outs and promises. Every time something happens, people immediately expect the govt to hand out free money and coupons. The markets are addicted to the FED and look what that has got us. Its time we weaned ourselves off these tools before they end up destroying the country. We so over-regulated, its almost impossible to get anything done on time or on budget. If it's a left wing govt, then it's even worse. They love rules, big govt and taxes. The Labor state govts screwed everyone to the ground during Covid and screwed the place up for years. Control freaks with no skin in the game.
