You do know that timber reserves can and are replanted, once harvested.
You do know that areas of young forest areas soak up much more Co2 than old growth forests.
You do understand that we can’t grow trees under powerlines.
You should know that trees and all plants for that matter, quite like a good dose of Co2 in their diet.
I don’t think that the Koala would mind the harvesting of timber reserves every 70 odd years if it was done responsibly in a chequer worked pattern.
I find it strange how people like you fail to see that proper forestry management is possibly and that it is an economic and environmentally sustainable/prudent approach.
Placing a dollar value on such things like hardwood lumber is a great way to protect the environment.
