You have created a VOID (that you can fill via batteries/ hydro).

So the market has filled that gap for you ..charging you the highest price you can pay without attracting alternates.

Sorry I have to explain something that should be fundamental understood.

If you liked drinking coke & it was $3 a bottle, then pepsi came in at 50c a bottle..what will you drink?

No pepsi can only deliver one day a month (& you have no way to store extra pepsi needed to get you through)...but you need coke for your bundy...

Price will go higher as there is no substitute (or you go without power)

If they charged $10..you might then look for alternate mixes... but they don't exist now....but right now you only have a choice of 2
