Not one watt of power generated by pumped hydro in Australia has ever been green as solar, wind and hydro do not produce 100 percent of the power to meet demand in the NEM. Therefore the recharging of the pumped hydro schemes have been down utilising fossil generated power. This may change in the future but is at least 5 years away imo.

Borumba, Snowy 2 & Cethania green pumped hydro will produce as much as Duds 7 nukes for the price of one nuke.
