So our intermittent technologies by their nature are nowhere near advanced enough to provide baseload secure power on a 24/7 footing so we are put in a position of relying on a backup system to ensure continuity of supply.
So you’ll agree that we need either Big batteries, gas, coal or even diesel systems in place for at least a decade or two to come.
Now which of these backup systems are currently capable of supply a week or two of On Demand reliability power or even just half a day’s power, reliably?
