Once the plant is operational by the end of this year, the team say it will be capable of extracting 100 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere each year.

Am I missing something here? Don't trees do the same thing cheaply and naturally whilst providing habitats and food for other creatures with no carbon emissions in the construction and manufacturing process?
